I am because we are, meaning a person is a person through other people.
Ubuntu, a Xhosa and Zulu word (from South Africa) is a quality that includes the essential human values, compassion and humanity. There is a need for humanity, responsibility, understanding, kindness, respect, dignity, compassion, forgiveness, and love. When internalised and nurtured Ubuntu can promote a collective culture. One person stands in the shoes of another person.
